This Americas Best Value Inn consistently receives negative reviews highlighting serious cleanliness and pest issues, including cockroaches and potential bedbugs. Guests report unsanitary conditions, poor customer service, and concerns about safety and value. While one review notes a good location and comfortable bed, the overwhelming majority of feedback points to significant problems.
Me and my husband have frequently visited this hotel. Obviously not the best, but anyone considering this hotel I’m warning you do not go. On October 28, me and my husband arrived kind of late after a very long day of driving and running errands. Around sometime before going to sleep, we noticed that there were multiple cockroaches. Unfortunately, me and him were far too exhausted to complain and switch the room, having to move all of our stuff. Following the worst night of sleep that I’ve ever had, me and him woke up with bug bites. I’ve never had any bites like this before, so I’m assuming it was bedbugs. Upon checkout we went to the front desk and politely let them know what was going on, we weren’t expecting anything, but after letting them know that there was a cockroach infestation and possibly bedbugs. The front desk’s response was that “it was suspicious that we hadn’t switched rooms” and all he would say in response to anything else was that if it was him, he would’ve switched the room. This was the most inappropriate customer service I’ve ever Received. No empathy or attempt to be understanding with a customer. After this interaction, I was just completely fed up and left. I’m not typically the person to take action if I feel like I’ve received bad customer service but this is way beyond bad customer service. We had booked through Priceline and they said that they could see if we could get a refund by calling the front office. After a long and lengthy call with priceline had told us that they simply weren’t saying anything. I’ve never seen a worse representation of customer service. I’ve filed a formal complaint through the actual customer service of value inn. And they assured me that they would have some kind of pesticide inspection that I will be hearing back from.
Locks looked they had been broken in. Mattresses were dirty and stained, sheets were not clean. Roaches throughout the room. Won't stay here ever again.
The rooms definitely need upgrades!!! I was downstairs and had someone or something banging on the walls every night for 2 nights! I will not be staying there again!!
I was looking for a cheap hotel to stay the night in for a couple days. There's way to many potholes and uneven pavement just driving into the parking lot. The building looks gross but that's not the main issue. I was unable to leave my job and was held over so I called to see what the fee was for a late check out and was told I would be charged another night unfortunately. I came back to pack my things and to use the bathroom and heard banging on the door. It was either the manager or somebody from the check in office I'm not sure what his position was but he was saying I had to check out and I was explaining the situation to him but he was focused on having me check out. When I got the office the older woman I talked to about late check out on the phone was also giving me an issue as I was checking out knowing I was not able to leave my job to check out at 11 but decided to scold me regardless. I was never trying to stay another night or even be charged for it. I also had random people that kept knocking and banging on the door the first night I stayed some were children. I honestly don't even trust this area and I've never had any issues checking out of any other cheap or luxury hotels in the past even if it was a early or late check out. Was never planning on coming back here to begin with and I now see why there aren't many people that even stay here I couldn't tell if it was open, closed or abandoned.
ROOM SMELLS LIKE OVERWHELMINGLY LIKE PEE. The BEDS AND BEDDING too. Absolutely disgusting hotel. THEY HAVE ROACHES. ? dead bug pieces on walls, dead roaches in the corner, rooms smell like absolute URINE. We had to use car air fresheners and bought a candle to suffer through the smell for one night. Don’t stay here unless you can handle the stench and bugs. We didn’t even want to sleep on the beds but the room was $160 non refundable. Literally the worst hotel. Pics are a leg from a bug smashed on the wall and one of many dead bugs we found on the floor. DISGUSTING. In the middle of the night the ac unit starts squealing so loud.
We came here for 5 nights, the location is great near a lot of stuff within walking distance. The bed is soft and comfortable. Our floor is dirty, no bedside lamps, no chair to relax except for the office chair at table. Shower pressure isn’t the greatest, toilet squeaks everytime you flush it. Was a pain to get another set of bath towels. Was told we can only get clean towels if we change in the others. So they ended up giving us pool towels which felt like a hand towel. AC works great, parking pretty good. Have not seen any homeless or shady characters. Was told that there would be a pool which is not open till like June. Paid for a pool view room and was given a room in the section that I believe people live in. (As they can stay up to 21 days leave and come back.) No breakfast, but do get juice and coffee at 6am. No coffee pot in hotel room, comes with a fridge (freezer was not working.) and microwave. The day we check in the cops are here to check on some people who live here, boat in parking lot looks like it’s been here awhile. Reality you get what you paid for. I would spend a little more next time and go somewhere else. Oh and you have to pay $150 hold for the room, which was told it would go back to card with in 5 to 7 days after checkout.
Tried to book a room for tonight. Their reservation system failed. Upon arrival (Monday at 6:30 pm) I was met by locked door. After waiting for 30 minutes under locked door, a guy showed up. He refused to honor promised price. Original deal was $52. He insisted on $70. This business practice sux!
High deposit fee!! Booked online, so it was a hassle when they asked for credit cards, cash and my id. When I didn’t have those things they denied me my room. Lucky I live locally so I went home, got my things and came back. The room was actually pretty great! It was clean! Spotless even. The AC worked great! Compared to other places in my town, this is a great choice! Also it’s centrally located. You can walk next door to nugget market and go shopping at the Nut Tree (that’s what I did) there’s so many restaurants there. Con: there was a homeless man riding a bike in the lot but police did come out promptly.
