Super 8 consistently receives mixed reviews, with many highlighting cleanliness and value, but plagued by serious concerns regarding unprofessional management, discriminatory behavior, and unresolved billing issues. Recent feedback indicates potential issues with property maintenance and parking.
I picked this hotel because if was a fair price for a quick, economical one-night stop over on our way to a dog sporting event. On Booking.com it said there MAY be a pet charge. Ok. No big deal, I expected that there would be. What I didn’t expect was a $90 pet charge on top of the $86 room fee. Also, the breakfast was minimal. You could make waffles or have a yoghurt. That was it. No fruit. No toast. No non-dairy milks. I don’t believe hotels charge per person to stay, so why charge per pet? By all means increase the deposit but a $90 charge? That was ridiculous.
The "manager" Dina openly discriminates against people with disabilities and refused my service animal. She also said that I should have called the hotel before booking and asked if they could accommodate my medical condition. She claimed to be educated about the ADA but she did not understand the difference between service animals and pets. She was arguing with me in front of my children and she said that if my children felt uncomfortable that they should go outside. I am completely mind blown with the disgusting unprofessional attitude of this individual. The first room she gave me reeked of animal urine too. Edit: Just by reading the response from the owner you can see how uneducated they really are. There is no such thing as an "ADA" animal. That is not even the correct terminology. Service animals are not pets. Everybody knows that.
I stayed here for vacation and when I came the rooms were DIRTY, smelled like cigarettes,? & there was a bunch of arguing and fighting. Staff is rude and unprofessional. They’ll make up lies about you and keep your deposit. I saw RATS all over the premises. Too much illegal activity.
I recently stayed at Super 8 and overall had a good experience. The rooms were very clean and well kept, which I really appreciated. The staff was pleasant and the property felt comfortable. The only downside was the breakfast selection. There weren’t many options to choose from — mainly waffles, cinnamon rolls, or yogurt, along with coffee. It would have been nice to have a few more choices available
This was honestly the worst hotel and accommodation experience I have ever had. According to Booking.com, in case of early departure only the first night should be charged as a penalty. We had already stayed and paid for the first night, and Booking.com confirmed that leaving early for the remaining days should not be an issue. However, the hotel refused to accept this and still charged us for an additional night, even though we left earlier than planned. The main reason we wanted to leave was that the hotel was old, dirty, and poorly maintained. The management showed no understanding at all. Things got even worse during checkout. We placed our bags in front of the hotel’s main entrance, clearly visible, because we were about to pull our car to the door and load our luggage. When we asked about them, the staff said they had thrown them away thinking they were trash. They absolutely did not look like trash, and none of our belongings were in garbage bags. As a result, we lost valuable personal items. To make matters worse, we later realized that we had forgotten a smartwatch worth around $400 in the room. We contacted the hotel several times, but each time they claimed they could not find it. Long story short: this is a hotel you should absolutely avoid. It was not just a bad stay, but a genuinely terrible overall experience due to both the condition of the hotel and the behavior of the management.
Deena is so thoughtful. The employees are ALL really personable, friendly and efficient. The pool feels like your in a backyard! In the best way!! It was so clean. Deena and her team are constantly updating the rooms.Even new beds!!! Thanks to everyone there!!!
The room was clean and comfortable and good value.
This Super 8 definitely exceeds expectations for the brand (I've stay at ALOT of Super 8s). Property is well maintained, room was super clean, great water pressure in the shower, and bed was comfortable. Great customer service from the front desk, and check-in procedure was quick. Several restaurants nearby, all are within walking distance. My main reason for booking this particular hotel was "truck/trailer parking" is mentioned as one of the amenities. After looking at Google street view, I assumed the parking lot beside Wendy's was the hotel's truck parking. I was wrong to make this assumption. The hotel's truck parking is street parking in the cul de sac. This isn't an issue, plenty of space to maneuver, although it may be tight if other large vehicles are already parked there. I was able to fit a 35ft straight truck without issue.
Management is very very bad and I'm really upset with how I was treated Dana the manager told me I don't care I WiLL MAKE SURE I Don't Get MY MONDY BACK!!!!!!!??? That blew my mind if I could post this as a 0 star Fran charge, their management is killing them over there and they Polly don't even know.Well miss dana I promise you I will get every dollar of my money back and I will make sure that you feel the consequences of treating me like that
If I could give this super 8 a negative star I would. The manager is very rude. My family and I were staying there a couple days while we waited for our application for our apartment to come through so we were technically homeless. During our stay we were very respectful and never made any bother. When we were checking out my husband went outside to smoke (a marijuana joint) (which he never smoked in side of the motel room what so ever) the DAY OF CHECK OUT he walked up stairs with the joint in his ear and the manager told us she is keeping our deposit because the maids had to steam clean everything. Mind you it didn’t smell like weed when I went up stairs and I can put that on everything my husband did not smoke in the room since my kids and my self(pregnant) were all in the room. My husbands friend even told us before staying here to be careful because they keep your deposit no matter what. On top of this, when I talked to the manager and reasoned with her that I really needed my deposit back as i was relying on that money to make it through the next couple of days, she proceeded to be very unprofessional and tell me “I feel sorry for you that your homeless that’s the only reason I’m going to refund you, and if you are homeless I don’t understand why your husband even smokes weed” like who are you to judge anyone in a state where marijuana is legal? Let alone judge someone at all. You are very unprofessional and I hope life treats you the way you deserve. Because you obviously never had any hardships in your life.
